Dear CC-V Families,
January 4, 2021
After much debate, CC-V School District has decided to postpone returning to in-person learning until January 18, 2021. This decision is based on the number of holiday gatherings & travel that will occur over Winter Break which will likely lead to an increase in COVID cases. By postponing, we have a better chance of reducing spread.
Students on IEPs are encouraged to return to in-person learning on January 6, 2021.
Even during remote learning, families should still notify our School Nurse, Laureen Murray, at email@example.com, if anyone in the household is experiencing symptoms, been in close contact with a positive case or has tested positive.
We will continue to offer transportation for our students in Special Education beginning on January 6, 2021. We are in need of bus drivers- if you know anyone who is interested in driving for CC-V, please have them contact firstname.lastname@example.org and complete an online application.
Remote learning will resume on Wednesday, January 6th for all students. Please contact your child’s teacher if you have questions regarding their classes/school work.
ATHLETICS/AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES
CHSAA is waiting for final approval from the governors COVID task force for start dates for winter and spring sports. Tentative dates are February 1st for basketball, March 22nd for volleyball and May 10th for baseball and track & field.
Students on IEPs are welcome to attend school, in person, all four days a week beginning January 6, 2021. If you have concerns about your child attending school in-person, please contact Arika Zittlosen at email@example.com.
If you are in need of technology support you may start a support ticket by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org, with a description of the issue and what you have tried to do to solve the problem. They may ask that you schedule a time to drop off the device at the school. After they have a chance to inspect it, a new device may be issued.
We currently have a hotspot set up in Victor in the Elk’s Lodge and can be accessed from the parking lot. The password is “GoPioneers!” You are also able to access the wifi from the lower parking lot of the high school building if you park on the concrete pad next to the building. The network is called Student and the password is “donkey12”.
Any family in need of a food box during remote learning days, can contact our Food Service Director, Patricia Bayne via email at email@example.com. Include your name, address and number of children in the household age 0-18 in the email.
Look for information from your child’s school and teachers regarding materials and instruction.
CC-V will continue to notify our families if anything changes.
We know this decision impacts our families. It is our hope that when we return, we will return healthy and ready to finish the school year strong!
