CCV School District RE-1
During the 2024 legislative session, the General Assembly passed and the Governor signed HB 24-1216: Supports for Youth in Juvenile Justice System. The bill defines a justice-engaged student as a student who is involved in the criminal justice system in any capacity, including, but not limited to, adjudication, probation, ticketing, detention, diversion, commitment, or community supervision. It is also worth noting that C.R.S. 22-108-103: HB 24-1216 established Justice-Engaged Studentās Bill of Rights.
CCV School District RE-1 will work with all justice engaged students and provide them with any services and resources available as appropriate to their needs and goals. Superintendent Dan Cummings will act as point person for any justice engaged students seeking assistance.
